I-Eyes It's all about trust.
I found a family portrait with myself as a young girl, of which I made a new negative and silver gelatine print. This is glued with wallpaper glue on a slice of a Tuya tree, on which I brushed out the rings to show the 'time'. The Tya tree is said to be sacred.© Adriana Sjan Bijman.
‘MIJN HANDEN’ / My hands
self-portrait, blue toned vintage silver gelatine print with silkscreen text. The (Dutch) text explores the reflected hesitation in intimacy I saw in the picture afterwards: “I will have to negotiate with my hands- these hands have been made for working- if and how they want to touch you.” © Adriana Sjan Bijman.
