sunrise The Park, Findhorn
January favourite:

One of the amazing late morning sunrises midwinter at The Park

Bicycle snow
February favourite:

“Surrendering” was the sign on my caravan at The Park. It also was the Year Angel for 2009 for the Findhorn Foundation Community. And, we had to do just that when it unexpectedly started to snow.

Snowdrops
March favourite:

I ‘dived’ into a field of wild snowdrops at the Hermitage Woods in Perthshire in Scotland. They are so clearly not just flowers, but real living beings.

pebbles Findhorn Beach
April favourite:

Pebble row at Findhorn Beach. This was my favourite image made during a Beach Pebble Project. Its simplicity touched

Fire play Findhorn
May favourite:

Play of Fire around Beltane, a celtic Festival celebrated on the 1st of May, at the Pier in Findhorn Village. Some young people were having fun and making great figures with fire. Caught in a circle.

body
June 2009 favourite:

Summer's sensuality: June was a lovely month in the north anyway, but I am sure we can be taken aback by sensuality all year through. The colours, shapes and skin ... almost touchable ... made this a favourite for me.

paint shipyard MaxcDuff
July 2009 favourite:

Painter's colours at Mac Duff Shipyard. An image from a series around the Boat Festival in July at Portsoy and Banff, two of the lovely, picturesque towns at the Scottish Moray Firth and northeast coast. Next to the show and the sailing boats, here was a place from daily life in the shipyard – trying out the colours for the boats.

baby Blessing Findhorn
August favourite

Baby Blessing Ceremony at Findhorn. The minister prepared himself for the blessing while the baby himself waiting, had a different way to express the sacredness.

mushroom
September favourite

Fuzzy with Fungi: Doing a series about mushrooms and fungi this autumn, I chose this detailed close-up because of its structures and delicateness.

Banyan Tree Argentina
October 2009 favourite:

Banyan tree at La Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I know these trees from India, and again while seeing this one, I was in awe of this beautiful tree. I like the large leaves in front and the symmetry.

Smoke Tree
November 2009 favourite:

Red leaves of a Smoke tree at windy Findhorn. Trees show their shapes in a totally different way during the wintertime. Just before releasing its leaves, this Smoke tree held on to them in a storm. I moved with them.

Findhorn Dunes frost
December 2009 favourite:

Heavy frost and fog changed the landscape of the Findhorn dunes into a fairy land.
