Findhorn dances through sun and rain! During the Sacred Dance Festival at Findhorn (10-18 July 2010) the Findhorn Foundation Craft Group organised a Craft & Art Fair on Tuesday 13th July in the Community Centre. Adriana takes place in most of the organised Fairs at Findhorn.
At Sunday 26th September Adriana was co-organising the "East Meets West" day, to integrate and mix the Chinese Culture with the International-British culture at Findhorn. A wonderful day with the art of Chinese Tea drinking, great food and Qi Gong.
Feedback on work done by Adriana Sjan Bijman:
Dear Adriana, I want to congratulate you on a superb layout of this week's Rainbow Bridge. You display your artistic flair magnificently. Thank you also for the many many earlier RB magazines that you have edited. With love, John Willoner, Conference Office, Findhorn Foundation, April 2010

A group of Spear Thistles in the Moray dunes. Guessing this is The Cirsium vulgare - or Cluaran Deilgneach in gaelic-scottish - which is widely spread in Scotland. This one better be called Scots Thistle instead of the Cotton or Scot thistle, which is the national Scottish emblem, but is rarely found here in Scotland. Another variety - thinner with smaller flowers- is the Slender Thistle. We find a lot of both kinds here. I really like these prickly beauties, however they are called officially. Some years ago I planted a thistle: the Sillybum Adriana, prickly outside, but with a soft white flower. Ah! The thistle....one of many favourites in July.
Between Lamas (1st of August) and the end of this month is a real harvest time, and the first vegetables already go into flower. I was surprised by the abundance of the wild blue Harebell (Campanula rotundifolio) in the Findhorn dunes this year.
Sweet fragrances in the gardens and lateron maybe between your clothes in the cupboard, when the lilac lavender flowers are collected and dried. The Lavandula Angustifolia is also loved by bees and other insects, here with a visiting ladybird.

A female green "Emperor Dragonfly" or the Empress Herself, at a pont in The Park.
As I travelled to Argentina in June (our summer, their winter) it all got mixed up a bit in me what weather concerned. And it was reflexed on the outside. If there was a summer, we did not notice it here, in the north of Scotland.
Next to the ongoing photowork on 'The Argentina Project", below you'll find a taster of the work I have been involved in over the last season:
